Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Stanton, Iowa formerly Red Oak Marjorie E. Sederburg, age 92, of Stanton, Iowa formerly Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Marjorie E. Sederburg was born January 16, 1918 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Wilson and Amelia (Kassel) McIntyre. She was a 1935 graduate of Red Oak High School and married Ervin Sederburg on November 2, 1935 in Maryville, Missouri. They were married for 45 years and lived in Stanton, Shenandoah, Omaha, Carroll, Creston, and called Red Oak "Home" since 1950. Marjorie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Christian Women's Club, Monday Club, Rebekah's, and many other organizations. She led many Bible studies and was faithful in keeping in touch with family and friends through greeting cards. She loved her roses....and hated the rabbits. Marjorie knew everyone and was an encourager to the other residents at her current home at the Stanton Care Center. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband: Ervin on August 27, 1981; sisters: Helen Russell and Glendora Sandell; and a granddaughter. Survivors include her children: Curtis Sederburg and wife Suzanne of Ames, Iowa; Ron Sederburg and wife Sande of Belle Vista, Arkansas; and Janice Faris and husband Richard of Des Moines, Iowa; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Pilecki officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-7 PM Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
