Birthplace: Montgomery County, Iowa Resided In: Missouri Valley formerly Red Oak Marjorie E. Moore, age 93, of Missouri Valley, Iowa formerly of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Monday, July 21, 2008 at the Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley. Marjorie Evelyn Moore was born September 15, 1914 in Lincoln Township of Montgomery County, Iowa the daughter of John Robert and Lina Ann (Williams) Lampe. She graduated from Wales Lincoln High School in 1931 and continued living on the family farm helping with the farming and also had her own business of wallpapering. Marjorie was united in marriage to Guy Moore on August 25, 1950 on the family farm and they moved into Red Oak. Marjorie and Guy operated Moore's Motel for 28 years and Falks Ice Cream. Marjorie was a member of the Wales Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday School Secretary and was a member of the Business and Professional Women. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband: Guy Moore on July 1, 1977; niece: Marilyn Riecken; and her brother-in-law: Isadore Swanson. Survivors include her sister: Lucile Swanson of Missouri Valley, Iowa; nieces: Kathryn Brandon of Logan, Iowa and Dorothy Leazenby and husband Ben of Amarillo, Texas; nephew: Leroy Swanson of Logan, Iowa; daughter-in-law: Phoebe Moore of Branson, Missouri; grandsons: Jon Moore and Bill Moore both of Branson, Missouri; great grandsons: Ryan Moore and wife Keri of Wellington, Colorado and Travis Moore and wife Alisha of Kansas City, Missouri; great great grandchildren: Taylor, Sydney, Cieera, and Brodie Moore; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM, Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Cremation will take place after the funeral service and burial will be at a later date at the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Wales Presbyterian Church. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
