Marilyn Jean Waterman, age 92, of Omaha, Nebraska died Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Bellevue, surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was born February 12, 1933, near Emerson, Iowa, the daughter of Gaylord and Hettie (Jenks) Eastwood. She was a member of Lifegate Church in Omaha, NE. After her retirement from Mutual of Omaha she was involved with funeral luncheons at Lifegate Church until her health declined. She enjoyed playing cards with family members.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers Donald and Delbert Eastwood. Survivors include daughters: Joan Latenser and husband Paul of Omaha, NE and Lynn Christiansen and husband Jeff of Council Bluffs, IA; sons: Kevin Waterman and wife Bernadette of Bellevue, NE and John Waterman and wife Lori of Gretna, NE; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister: Kay Herzberg and husband Willard of Clarinda, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery in Montgomery County, Iowa.  Memorials are suggested to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund or the Lifegate Church in Omaha.
