Birthplace: Rossville, Kansas Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Marilyn Jo Kadar, age 72, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Marilyn Jo Kadar was born December 14, 1933 in Rossville, Kansas the daughter of William and Kathryn (Dean) Maddox. She grew up in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Topeka High School. She was united in marriage to John Kadar on September 15, 1951 in Topeka, Kansas. While John was in the military they lived in several places including Nevada and Spain before returning to Omaha where they have lived most of their married life. Marilyn worked for 30 years as a civil service employee at Offutt Air Force Base. She was a charter member of the Chandler Acres Baptist Church in Bellevue, Nebraska for 25 years and was currently a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Red Oak, Iowa. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband: John Kadar of Red Oak, Iowa; daughter: Yvette Kadar of LaVista, Nebraska; son: Shane Kadar of Omaha, Nebraska; granddaughter: Candi Kadar of LaVista, Nebraska; sister: Marlene Maddux of Overland Park, Kansas; mother-in-law: Luverne Kadar of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and long time best friends: Les and Mae Bailey of Papillion, Nebraska; as well as other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
