Birthplace: Diagonal, Iowa Resided In: Gilman City, MO formerly Red Oak, IA Marie Judah, age 78, of Gilman City, Missouri formerly of Red Oak, Iowa passed away, Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. Marie Judah was born September 22, 1927 in Diagonal, Iowa the daughter of James and Myrtle (Blauer) Cook. She graduated from Thayer, Iowa High School in 1945 and later Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Marie was married to Robert Schremser and to this union were born 2 sons and a daughter. Marie was a longtime resident of Red Oak, Iowa. She married Roy Judah and they operated the Viking Greenhouse. Marie also worked at Union Carbide Company retiring after 30 years of service. Marie moved to Missouri in 2000 to be near her daughter Carol. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son: Edward Schremser; her husband: Roy Judah; and brother-in-law: Mike Smith. Survivors include her daughter: Carol Wheeler of Gilman City, Missouri; son: Gary Schremser of St. Joseph, Missouri; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers: Richard Cook and wife Marilyn of Van Wert, Iowa and James Cook and wife Donella of Creston, Iowa; sister: Pat Smith of Afton, Iowa; step-son: Rick Judah; step-daughter: Janis DeLapp; her beloved dog: Sassy; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Craig Larsen officiating. Family and friends will gather at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel at 1 PM Tuesday to go to the cemetery in procession. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
