Birthplace: Santiago, Chile Resided In: Doral, Florida formerly of Red Oak, Iowa Maria Teresa Swiger del Pino, age 83, of Doral, Florida formerly of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Saturday March 25, 2006 at the Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami, Florida. Maria Teresa Swiger del Pino was born September 1, 1922 in Santiago, Chile, the daughter of Victor and Rosa Ester (Arriagada) Valenzuela. Teresa received her nurses training before coming to the United States at a young age. She was united in marriage to Clarence Swiger on November 3, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri. They lived in Kansas City and St. Louis. When Clarence retired in 1977, they moved to Red Oak where Teresa worked at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for many years. Clarence preceded Teresa in death on January 1, 1996. Teresa was united in marriage to Jose Mario del Pino Garcia on December 29, 1997 in Pampatar, Isla Margarita, Venezuela. They moved to Doral, Florida in 2003. Teresa is survived by her husband: Mario del Pino Garcia of Doral, Florida; sister: Elsa Aburto of Santiago, Chile; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 AM Friday, April 7, 2006 in the Calvary Section of Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Fred Jones will officiate. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
