Margaret Mae "Maggie" Yoakum, age 74, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Maggie was born October 4, 1950, in Knoxville, Iowa. She grew up near Knoxville, Iowa, and Pella, Iowa, where she graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Terry Yoakum and to this union a son was born, Terry, Jr. Maggie moved to Red Oak Iowa in the 1960's. Over the years, Maggie was a horse trainer, a CNA, cooked at Red Oak Community Schools, and worked at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for many years. She truly loved horses and collected horse memorabilia.

Preceding her in death were her parents; twin sister: Marie; and two brothers. Survivors include her son: Terry Yoakum, Jr. of Red Oak, Iowa; sister: Judy of Florida; longtime companion: Mike Fort of Red Oak, Iowa; and other relatives and many friends.

Per the wishes of Maggie, there will be no services.
