Birthplace: Page County, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Margaret Anne Neal, age 76, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Margaret was born July 21, 1941 in Page County, Iowa the daughter of Pardee J. and Margaret Louise (Hayes) Woods, Sr. Margaret grew up in Shenandoah and graduated from the Shenandoah High School in 1959. After graduation Margaret worked at Bob Ross Insurance in Shenandoah. On April 15, 1962, Margaret married Larry Neal in Shenandoah. To this union two children were born, Michael and Melissa. The family moved to Red Oak in 1969 where Margaret and Larry raised their family. She later worked at Sears, Carder and Kurtenback Insurance, Southwest Foot and Ankle Center and Red Oak Internal Medicine. She was a member of the First Covenant Church. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry on July 30, 1998 and daughter, Melissa in 1984. Survivors include her son: Michael Neal and wife Arlys of Nevada, IA; three grandchildren: Greg Neal and wife Sarah of Grimes, IA; Kelli Bartleson and husband Brandon of Nevada, IA; and Megan Farrington and husband Brady of Polk City, IA; two great grandchildren: Carter and Brodey Neal; brother: Pardee J. Woods, Jr. of Shenandoah, Iowa; aunt: Betty Benscoter of Shenandoah; sister-in-law: Janice Neal of Malvern, IA; along with many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the First Covenant Church in Red Oak with burial of the cremated remains in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the First Covenant Church or a charity of your choice. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements
