Mahlon John Richardson, age 46, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday April 11, 2023, at his home. Mahlon was born October 11, 1976 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the son of Karry and Margaret (Blanchard) Richardson. He grew up in southwest Iowa and graduated from Kanesville Alternative School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He then attended ITT Technical School. Mahlon was a welder by trade. He has lived in Red Oak, Iowa, for many years and was most recently working for American Hydraulics. Mahlon's hobbies included video games, tinkering with electronics, cooking, bike rides, and traveling. And he always had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife: Adrienne Richardson of Breda, IA; father:  Karry Richardson of Red Oak, IA; children: Nicole Bean and husband Daniel of Guthrie Center, IA; Christopher Dankert of Cassville, MO; Robert Grimes of Illinois; Caspian Richardson of Lincoln, NE; and Zephyr Richardson of Red Oak, IA; step-children: Destiny Williams and husband Cristopher of Carroll, IA; Robert Sales III of Council Bluffs, IA; Matthew Sales of Council Bluffs, IA; and Marcus Sales of Omaha, NE; grandchildren: Jace Bean; Calvin, Lucille, and Thomas Williams; and Elijah Sales; sisters: Crystal Grimes of Fayetteville, AR; Rita Skipton of Council Bluffs, IA; Pamela Smith of Nokomis, IL; and Nikki Richardson of Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 2 PM Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Red Oak Depot under the direction of the family.
