Birthplace: Iowa City, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Clara "Luanne" Lukat, age 84, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Monday, July 12, 2021, at Red Oak Rehab and Care Center. Luanne was born January 16, 1937, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Erma (Kysar) Wyckoff. She was raised in Bedford and Red Oak, Iowa. She lived several different places throughout the years including Omaha, Florida, Colorado, and Texas before moving back to Southwest Iowa in 2007. She was united in marriage to Frank Elliott and later Luke Lukat. Luanne was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved working crossword puzzles, reading, walking, swimming, watching movies, and playing pool. Luanne also enjoyed traveling by bus and Amtrak. Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters: Julia Schmitt, Joanne Scofield, and Louise Platt; half-brothers: Jack and Joe Wyckoff; and son: Dennis Elliott. Survivors include her children: Colleen Dennis and husband James of Red Oak, IA; Bill Elliott of Opp, AL; and Sherri Clark and husband Travis of Red Oak, IA; 15 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters: Judy Schooling and husband Ron of Elliott, IA; Laura Greggs of Red Oak, IA; Linda Russell of Red Oak, IA; and Carmen Williams of Minnesota; and many other relative and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM Monday, July 19, 2021, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
