Birthplace: Clarinda, IA Resided In: Red Oak, IA Loren Eldon Larson, age 69, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Loren was born February 22, 1949 in Clarinda, Iowa the son of Chres and Margaret (Bolt) Larson. He was raised near Nodaway, Iowa and graduated from the Villisca High School in the class of 1967. He served in the United States Navy from 1967 until 1970. Loren worked for 47 years as an over the road truck driver retiring from his current job at Mather Trucking in 2017. His passion truly was driving his truck. He also enjoyed reading western books, spy novels and he enjoyed politics. Loren was united in marriage to Marsha Phillips on July 28, 2012 in Red Oak where they made their home together. Preceding him in death were his father: Chres Larson; his mother: Margaret Steadman; sister: Mary Rosch; and brothers: Paul, Jim, Lloyd, Kenny, and Harold Larson. Survivors include his wife: Marsha Phillips Larson of Red Oak; daughter: Barbara Garcia and husband Raymond of Odessa, TX; sons: Matt Larson and wife Lynn of Florida and Robbe Morris and wife Lisa of Florida; grandchildren: Brittany Thomas of Jonesboro, AR; Alicia Strong of Lawton, OK; and Caeden Morris, London Larson, and Haley Larson all of Florida; great grandchildren: Austin Thomas, Aurora Palmer, and Dalton Strong; along with other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery. Viewing and visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Montgomery County Memorial Court of Honor or the Montgomery County Animal Rescue. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
