Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Linda Sue Southworth, age 67, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, October 2, 2020. Linda was born July 20, 1953 in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Dale and Carol (Albertson) Watt. She graduated from Red Oak High School in 1971 And Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. She taught school for nine years in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and was united in marriage to Paul Southworth in Council Bluffs. They lived many different places throughout the years while Paul was in the Military. Linda moved back to Red Oak in the late 1990's from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She worked for many years for H & R Block in Red Oak and Atlantic. She was very involved in civic activities and served on the board of West Central Development. She enjoyed Bluegrass music, doing bead work, studying her bible, and was an avid reader. Linda was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her mother: Carol Watt of Red Oak; brothers: Calvin Watt and wife Ann and Alan Watt of Red Oak; along with many other relatives and friends. There will no services held at this time. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
