Birthplace: Clarinda, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Linda Lea McAlpin, age 69, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2019 with her family by her side at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Linda was born July 22, 1949 in Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Lowell and Mary Rucker. Linda owned and operated the local flower shop for several years before retiring. She enjoyed socializing with her Red Oak Tap friends and family and she had a unique way of gift giving to her friends during the holidays. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Dick whom she married in 1986. They lived the last nineteen years in the dream house he built for her. Preceding her in death were her parents and a nephew: Chad Rucker. Survivors include her husband, Dick; her children: Kim King of Red Oak; Kris Esaias of Gretna, NE; Kory Pierson of Oklahoma; V.J. Baker of Kansas; John McAlpin of Red Oak; and Brook McAlpin of Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother: Larry Rucker and wife Phyllis and sister: Lisa Ems and husband Charlie of Seward, NE; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements
