Birthplace: Shenandoah, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Larry L. Ayres, age 57, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Larry Lewis Ayres was born December 26, 1952 in Shenandoah, Iowa the son of LeRoy and Leah (Cook) Ayres. He graduated from the Red Oak High School in 1971 and attended college for one year. He moved to Colorado in 1975 and worked at Reynolds Aluminum Company. Larry lived in Houston, Texas for five years where he worked for a carnival for a short period of time and also the Red Cross before moving back to Iowa a year ago. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his sister: Laura Olson of Red Oak, Iowa; brother: Lynn Ayres of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 2 nieces: Karly and Shelby Ayres of Red Oak, Iowa; 2 nephews: Curtis Woods and wife Rhonda of Red Oak, Iowa and Craig Woods and wife Kena of Red Oak, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. In accordance with Larry's wishes his body has been donated to the Carver Medical School at the University of Iowa. There will be no services at this time. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
