Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Villisca, Iowa LaDonna J. Focht, age 47, of Villisca, Iowa passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. LaDonna Jean Focht was born March 19, 1960 the daughter of Jerry and Shirlene (Brown) McKenzie. Her father passed away when LaDonna was very young. Her mother was then united in marriage to William "Bill" Crabtree who raised both LaDonna and her sister, Deb. LaDonna graduated from Red Oak Community High School in 1978 and attended Northwest Missouri State University for a short period of time before returning to Red Oak where she worked at Montgomery County National Bank. She was united in marriage to Mark Focht on March 21, 1981 in Red Oak. They lived in Morton's Mill for 4 years before moving to their current home. LaDonna worked for the bank through several name changes and later was employed by Security State Bank now known as Great Western Bank. In September of 2006, she started working in the Montgomery County Recorder's Office. She was a member of the Tabor Lutheran Church at Wallin where she was in the choir and was a member of WELCA. She also was a former member of the YMCA Board, Relay For Life Committee member, Booster Club member, Music Booster Club member, and enjoyed bowling for many years. Her greatest love was her family and watching her kids in all sporting events. LaDonna was preceded in death by her father: Jerry McKenzie; her mother: Shirlene Crabtree; an infant brother; and several grandparents. Survivors include her husband: Mark Focht of Villisca, Iowa; children: Andrew Focht and friend Karla Horihan of Villisca, Iowa; Aaron Focht, Ryan Focht, and Amanda Focht all of Villisca, Iowa; her Dad: William "Bill" Crabtree of Red Oak, Iowa; sister: Deb Liebig and husband Mike of Gretna, Nebraska; grandmother: Edith McKenzie of Red Oak, Iowa; Aunts: Anamary Gustin and husband Wayne of Red Oak, Iowa; and Doris Lockhart of Wyoming; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Marvin and Barbara Focht of Villisca, Iowa; two brothers-in-law: Jeff Focht and wife Nora of Omaha, Nebraska; and Rod Focht of Stanton, Iowa; sister-in-law: Sue Reynolds and husband Dennis of Griswold, Iowa; nieces and nephews: Lindsay, Shelby, and Cassady Sunderman all of Gretna, Nebraska; Grant, Greg, and Ally Focht all of Stanton, Iowa; Dakota Reynolds of Griswold, Iowa; and Bryan Leary and wife Andrea of Wylie, Texas; great niece and nephew: Karlee Leary and Riley Leary both of Wylie, Texas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton, Iowa with Rev. Dr. Eric Kutzli officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Fire and Rescue Department of your choosing in the area. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
