Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Wales, Iowa Kevin John Davidson, age 61, of Wales, Iowa, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home. Kevin was born December 3, 1959 in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of John and Gladys (Nordyke) Davidson. Kevin attended school in Red Oak and started farming at a young age. He operated heavy equipment with Jipsen Construction and was a co-owner. Kevin was united in marriage to Cynthia Keat on December 28, 1978 in Red Oak, Iowa. Three children were born to this union: Amanda, Megan, and Krystal. Over the years, Kevin was a member of the Red Oak Elks Lodge and the Southwest Iowa Antique Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. His whole world revolved around his family whom he loved dearly. On August 27, 2007, Kevin was united in marriage to Melissa Miller in Las Vegas, Nevada. This union was blessed with a son: Tucker Miller Davidson and Melissa's children: Nathaniel Miller and Lily Peterson. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife: Melissa Davidson of Wales, IA; children: Amanda Roper and husband Nathaniel of Brunswick, GA; Megan Davidson and significant other Tim Smith of Papillion, NE; Krystal Clark of Red Oak; Lily Peterson of Wales, IA; Nathaniel Miller of Shenandoah, IA; and Tucker Miller, of Wales, IA; grandchildren: John and Henry Roper of Brunswick, GA; Blake and Colton Smith of Papillion, NE; and Paige, Ethan, and Aydden Clark of Red Oak, IA; brothers and sisters: Vince Davidson and wife Kathy of Greeley, CO; Jonette Otte and husband Vince of Wales, IA; Beverly Evans and husband Ron of Orem, UT; Mary Jo Gibbs and husband Dan of Olathe, KS; and Kurtis Davidson and friend Carolyn Stoneking of Red Oak, IA; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law: Carol Miller of Elliott, IA; brothers-in-law: Daniel Miller of Omaha, NE; Matthew Miller of Illinois; and Richard Miller of Omaha, NE; and many other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be held 10 AM Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Red Oak Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Gomer Cemetery at Wales, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-7 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
