Kenneth B. Hayes, age 63, of Villisca, Iowa, passed away at his home on Friday, September 9, 2022. Kenneth was born July 25, 1959 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Kelly and Marie Hayes. He was raised and lived most of his life in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He moved to the Red Oak area about twelve years ago and most recently lived on an acreage near Villisca, Iowa. Kenneth served in the National Guard and was a welder by trade. He worked for American Hydraulics in Council Bluffs and was later transferred to Red Oak. He was united in marriage to Christie Flanagan on October 14, 2016 in Red Oak, Iowa. His hobbies included welding, fishing, and spending his time on the acreage, which he loved.

Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife: Christie of Villisca, Iowa; children: Tarus Hayes, Kelly Hayes, Megan Purcell, and Gwen Umscheid; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers: Calvin Hayes, Gordon Hayes, and Randy Hayes; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life memorial gathering will be held from 1-5 PM Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Pool Hall in Red Oak, Iowa.
