Kenneth Edwin "Kenny" Gage, age 70, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Kenny was born November 11, 1952, in Clarinda, Iowa, the son of Lyall and Nickie (Larson) Gage. He was raised in rural Villisca, Iowa, graduating from Villisca High School in 1970. He started farming with his dad and then started his heavy equipment construction business. He sold out in 1993 and worked for Brian Gay Construction for many years. He was still operating heavy equipment until his health forced him to retire recently. Kenny was united in marriage to Carolyn Cole on June 3, 1981 in Atlantic, Iowa and later was united in marriage to Kitty Neal Crawford on December 2, 2006 in Villisca, Iowa. Kenny always enjoyed restoring old tractors, gardening, cooking on his smoker and grill, and drinking coffee and visiting with friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife: Carolyn Gage; infant sister: Kathy; and step-son: Kyle Crawford. Survivors include his wife: Kitty Gage of Red Oak, IA; step-children: Kim Combs and husband Don of Oskaloosa, IA and Kevin Crawford of Promise City, IA; grandchildren: Creighton Combs of Oskaloosa, IA; Adam Crawford of Centerville, IA; and Mackenzee Crawford of Centerville, IA; sister: Karen Taylor and husband Roy of Grant, IA; brother: Kent Gage and wife Mary of Villisca, IA; mother-in-law: Mary Lou Forsythe of Ankeny, IA; sister-in-law: Cathy White of W. Des Moines, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Villisca, Iowa Cemetery with fellowship to follow at the Villisca Community Building. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family.
