Kathleen Kay Lenz, age 71, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the Gardenview Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa. Kathleen was born December 30, 1952, in Redfield, Iowa, the daughter of Hans and Iva (Christensen) Fredericksen. She was raised in Stuart, Iowa. Kathleen was united in marriage to Dennis Lenz on April 12, 1991, in Atlantic, Iowa. Over the years, she had lived in Redfield, Stuart, Atlantic, and moved to Red Oak in 2018. She was a waitress for many years. Her hobbies included coloring, puzzles, and Facebook.

Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter: Jeannie; husband: Dennis Lenz on April 15, 2020; brother: Dennis Fredericksen; and brother: Dean Plowman. Survivors include her children: Tracy Cowen of Clarinda, IA and Cheryl Weber of Sioux City, IA; grandchildren: Stephanie Karwal of Illinois; Dillon and Steven Karwal of Red Oak, IA; and Aaliyah Jackson of Dallas, TX; several great grandchildren; brothers: Roger Fredericksen and wife Dee of Atlantic, IA and Ivan Fredericksen and wife Karen of Creston, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

There will be no services at this time.
