Obituary

Judith Carolyn Rolenc was born on August 8, 1942, to Les and Miriam (Havlu) Anderson. Her stepfather, John Wachs, was whom she called dad. Judy passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 82 years.

Judy met Ronald Rolenc while she was working at the parts counter at her dad's Pontiac and Oliver tractor dealership in David City, Nebraska. They were united in marriage on June 21, 1961. To this union, three sons were born: Scott, Steven, and Stanford.

In 1964, they moved to Red Oak, Iowa, where they made their home for the rest of their lives. In 1969, Ron and Judy started Red Oak Diesel Clinic, Inc., which they ran all their working years. Judy was the grease that kept the wheel turning both at home and at the shop. She was a loving mother who encouraged her sons to always do their very best. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much joy.

Judy was also an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years. She was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian Church and attended the First Covenant Church of Red Oak most recently.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Rolenc; her parents, Les Anderson, Miriam Wachs, and John Wachs; a granddaughter, Belinda Rolenc; her sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Joe Mally; her nephew, Jay Mally; her in-laws: Mary Lou Peacock; Butch Welch; Don Peacock; Theresa Towey; Mercedes Potrzeba; and Beverly Kotil.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Scott and Cindy Rolenc of Red Oak; Steven and Delores (Dee) Rolenc of Tucson, AZ; and Stanford and Stacey Rolenc of Red Oak; grandchildren, Nicholas Rolenc of Council Bluffs, Jennifer (Jason) Roberts of Council Bluffs, Mysti (Jeremy) Valenti of LaVista, NE, Abigail Rolenc of Tucson, AZ, Spencer Rolenc of Columbus, IN, Makayla Rolenc of Tucson, AZ, Weston (Averey) Rolenc of Red Oak, Garrett (Anna) Rolenc of Marshalltown, IA, Rhenn Rolenc of Nebraska City, NE, and Tessa Rolenc of Red Oak; great-grandchildren: Alex and Ava Rolenc, Leah Roberts, Stella Roberts, and Carter Roberts; great-great grandchildren: Richie Meloccaro and Sterling Meloccaro; in laws: Robert (Connie) Rolenc of Lincoln, NE; Richard (Marlene) Rolenc of Ulysses, NE; Sharon (Paul) Coe of Minneapolis, MN; Vernon Potzreba of Ord, NE; Dan Kotil of Staplehurst, NE; and Tom Towey of Omaha, NE; many nieces and nephews; and friends. She also had many caregivers throughout her long battle with Alzheimer's disease who loved her like she was one of their own. Judy's family cannot thank them enough.
