Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Des Moines, Iowa formerly of Red Oak Judith Anne Sheets, age 69, of Des Moines, Iowa formerly Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at her home. Judith Anne Sheets was born December 4, 1943 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Maurice "Dick" and Hazel (Sterett) Sheets. She graduated from Red Oak High School and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for two years. Judy worked for Braniff Airlines for many years in Kansas City, Missouri and later moved to Des Moines, Iowa where she worked for Dahl's Grocery Store. Judy loved to travel, read and quilt. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers: Maurice Sheets, Jr. and Edward Sheets; and sister: Joan Slump. Survivors include her sister: Jane Shearer of Red Oak, Iowa; sister-in-law: Helen Sheets of Brooklyn, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak, Iowa with Pastor Mel Smith officiating. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel of Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
