Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Jordan J. Vannausdle, age 13, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007 in Red Oak, Iowa from injuries sustained in an accident. Jordan James Vannausdle was born November 9, 1993 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Roger and Tracy (Wright) Vannausdle. He was in the seventh grade at Red Oak Community Schools. Jordan was a well rounded athlete being involved in football, basketball, track, and wrestling. He also was an avid swimmer as well as an accomplished golfer, winning his age division in the Red Oak Country Club's Championship Golf Tournament, twice. His last basketball coach said he was the most talented kid he ever coached. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, camping, and spending time with his friends. Jordan considered his brother, Eric, his best friend and adored his little sister, Paige. Jordan is described by many as being very kindhearted as shown in his love for his dog, Annie, and his cat, Max, as well as his many friends. Jordan will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Harry Vannausdle. Survivors include his parents: Roger and Tracy Vannausdle, brother, Eric Vannausdle, and sister, Paige Vannausdle all of Red Oak, Iowa; grandparents, Marilyn Vannausdle, and Terry and Darla Wright all of Red Oak, Iowa; uncles: Kirk Vannausdle and wife Kelly and Chris Vannausdle and wife Becky all of Red Oak, Iowa, and special uncle: Tom Wright of Red Oak, Iowa; aunt: Holly Brown of Denver, Colorado; cousins: Jenny Johnson and husband Bryce of Red Oak, Iowa, Jill Dahl and husband Darin of Jefferson City, Missouri, Janelle Erickson and husband Mark of Red Oak, Iowa, Mark Vannausdle of Red Oak, Iowa, Evan Vannausdle and Beth Vannausdle both of Elliott, Iowa, Karly Ayres and Shelby Ayres both of Red Oak, Iowa, and Cori Brown and Eryn Brown both of Denver, Colorado; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at the Red Oak Community High School Gymnasium with Rev. Alan Dean officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
