Birthplace: Seattle, Washington Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa John J. Kadar, age 77 of Red Oak, Iowa formerly Omaha, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. John Jay Kadar was born May 11, 1930 in Seattle, Washington the son of John Julius and Katherine Eleanor (Cook) Kadar. John lived most of his early years in the Moore, Minnesota area until he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948 and was stationed at Forbes Air Force Base in Kansas. This is where he met Marilyn Maddox whom he married on September 15, 1951 in Topeka, Kansas. They lived in several different places while John was in the Air Force including Nevada and Spain before moving to Omaha, Nebraska. John retired from the Air Force in 1968 and worked for Sears Company in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration before taking a civil service job at Offutt Air Force Base retiring after many years of service in 1989. John and Marilyn moved to Red Oak where they were members of the Grace Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Marilyn Kadar on January 31, 2006. Survivors include his daughter: Yvette Kadar of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son: Shane Kadar of Omaha, Nebraska; granddaughter: Candida Kadar of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two sisters: Charlie Matchione of Laguna Woods, California; and Jeanine Hudson and husband Bob of Gurnee, Illinois; brother: Melvin Kadar and wife Nicole of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law: Marlene Maddux of Kansas City, Kansas; step-mother: Luverne Kadar of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Burial of the cremated remains will take place at Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel, Red Oak, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
