Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Shenandoah, Iowa Jerry Lynn Kelley, age 61, of Shenandoah, Iowa, formerly of the Griswold, Iowa, and Elliott, Iowa, area passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the University of Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. Jerry was born August 10, 1960, in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of Richard and Kathleen (Mullen) Kelley. He graduated from Griswold High School in the class of 1978. Jerry started farming with his dad and later farmed south of Griswold for many years. He was also a wonderful carpenter and craftsman building homes, garages, and other construction projects. He enjoyed restoring old cars, golfing, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family, and was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs Fan. Currently he was a resident of Shenandoah, Iowa. Survivors include his parents: Richard and Kathleen Kelley of Elliott, IA; children: Heath Kelley and wife Stephanie of Waukon, IA and their children: Gracelynn, Clayton, Lillian, Ethan, Meredith, and Luke; Terra Burt and husband Cameron of W. Omaha, NE and their children: Jacen and Melaney; and Brooke Dunn and husband Kelly of Ankeny, IA and their children: Mattie, Sophie, and Ruby; siblings: Tom Kelley and wife Barbara of Carson, IA; William Kelley of Red Oak, IA; Barb Kelley of Omaha, NE; and Dan Kelley and wife Sarah of Crescent, IA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Burial will be in the Pleasant Township Cemetery near Griswold, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the Elliott Volunteer Fire Department. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
