Jerry Wayne "Jake" Jones, age 54, of Casey, Iowa, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at his home. Jake was born April 19, 1969, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Jerry and Sharon (Anderson) Jones. He was raised in Clearfield and Bedford, Iowa, where he attended school. He worked in small engine repair in Bedford until 1988i when he started working for Herberger Construction in Indianola. He later worked for Mike's Tire Repair and worked again in small engine repair before moving to Casey, Iowa. He loved working on engines and tinkering with just about anything. Jake also enjoyed music, singing, telling tall tales.

Preceding him in death were his stepson: James "Fuddy" Law and stepfather: Dan Abbott. Survivors include his mother: Sharon Caldwell of Casey, IA; father: Jerry Jones and wife Donna of Nodaway, IA; daughter: Elisabeth Jones of Indianola, IA; siblings: Kevin Jones and wife Joyce of Indianola, IA; Brian Jones and wife Stacie of Indianola, IA; Missy England of Clarinda, IA; Eric Caldwell and wife Amy of Lenox, IA; and Lisa Hannover of Casey, IA; stepbrothers and stepsisters: Chris Dugan of Afton, IA; Darryn Dugan of Nodaway, IA; Dawn Jones of Des Moines, IA; Vanessa Jones of Council Bluffs, IA; Shane Jones of Newton, IA; and Jazlyn Jones of Nodaway, IA; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 2-4 PM Sunday, December 31, 2023, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel at 1995 G Ave., Red Oak, Iowa. Burial will be at a later date in the Mamre Cemetery at Stanton, Iowa.
