Jerry Mack Anderson, age 86, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Jerry was born December 14, 1938, in Hamburg, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Grace Edna (Mack) Anderson. The family lived in many different places in Iowa through the years. Jerry graduated from Newell High School in Newell, Iowa. He was in sales working for Des Moines Register, Old Mill Toyota, and Cappers insurance. He also owned taverns in Stanton and Corning. He was very artistic being a chainsaw artist and loved carpentry and could build anything. He played golf and enjoyed the outdoors. Jerry had a great sense of humor and was a people person. He was also very kind and was a caregiver to many including his beloved dogs.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister: Kay Mangenello; and brother: Don Anderson. Survivors include his daughter: Debora O'Dell and husband Shannon of Griswold, Iowa; son: Brian Anderson and wife Kathy of Boca Raton, Florida; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
