Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Jeffrey Lynn Baker, age 61, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Jeff was born June 14, 1954 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Robert and Norma (Smith) Baker. Jeffrey was raised in Council Bluffs where he lived for many years. He was united in marriage to Linda Jenkins and two daughters were born to this union: Jennifer and Melissa. He was a welder by trade and worked many years for Rail Car of Nebraska. Jeff moved back to Red Oak in 2010. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother: Mike Baker; and sister: Colleen Leslie. Survivors include his daughters: Jennifer Baker-Forbus and husband Eric of Honey Creek, IA and Melissa Conaway and husband Chad of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren: Eric, Jr., Joel, Leighton, and Audrianna Forbus of Honey Creek, IA; and Cody, Sydney, and Wyatt Conaway of Council Bluffs, IA; great grandchild: Kinsley Conaway of Council Bluffs, IA; brother: Mark Baker and wife Dee of Ohio; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with cremation services.
