Birthplace: Montgomery County, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Jean Good, age 88, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. Jean Sweger Good, was born February 3, 1914 in Montgomery County the daughter of Richard Arthur and Helen (Sweger) Evans. Jean was raised and lived all of her life in the Stennett and Elliott areas. She graduated from Stennett High School. Jean married Vincent Good on April 20, 1936. They spent their married life on the farm in the Stennett and Elliott areas until moving to Red Oak in 1968. Jean worked on the farm and taught Sunday School at Stratton, was involved with Church Circle and Ladies Aid. She loved to fish and take trips to Minnesota and family gatherings. Jean is survived by her husband of 65 years Vincent Good of Red Oak. Two sons: Dennis Good and his wife JoAnn of Elliott; James Good and his wife Jody of Red Oak. One daughter Sharon Long of Omaha, Nebraska. Six grandchildren: Kim Anderson and husband Mike of Atlantic; Cheri Pullman and husband Keith of Westchester, Ohio; Susan Good of Elliott; Rob Long and wife Gina of Creston; Kelly Groskurth and husband Kevin of Treynor and Jeremy Good and wife Shari of Griswold and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday March 22, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak, with Rev. Frank Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 21 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak is in charge of the arrangements.
