Jean Carson, age 97, of Elliott, Iowa, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at her home. Jean was born on September 17, 1927, in Villisca, Iowa, the daughter of Dewey and Lillian (Doggett) Johnson. She graduated from Villisca High School and worked for the Tyler sisters and later Union Carbide before being united in marriage to Donald Carson in May of 1951 in Villisca, Iowa. They lived in Villisca for a short time before moving to Elliott, Iowa. Jean was a member of the Elliott Church of Christ and in her younger days was a Den Mother. She enjoyed bowling, word puzzles and jig-saw puzzles.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Don Carson; and sisters: LaVerne Meggison and Dorothy Strickland. Survivors include her sons: Mike Carson and Mark Carson of Elliott, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Elliott Church of Christ in Elliott, Iowa. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery.
