Birthplace: Omaha, Nebraska Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Jared W. Jipsen, age 18, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007 in Red Oak, Iowa. Jared Wayne Jipsen was born December 1, 1988 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Gary and Amy (Anderson) Jipsen. He was raised in Murray, Nebraska and Red Oak, Iowa. He was currently a senior at Red Oak Community High School. He loved to watch movies and play video games such as Donkey Kong and Zelda. He was also known to act as "Mr. Freaky" and people did not always know who it was on the telephone when he called. He always had dreams that he wanted to go to Canada which he was able to do last summer at that his dad brought him a lemon drop. Jared always had to have his monster energy drink to start the day. Jared was preceded in death by his sister: Nicole Jipsen on September 5, 2006. Survivors include his mother: Amy Jipsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; father: Gary Jipsen and wife Darnett of Red Oak, Iowa; sister: Kelli Jipsen of Red Oak, Iowa; Grandparents: Merlin and Effa Anderson of Red Oak, Iowa; Ada Jipsen of Emerson, Iowa; and Dwaine Jipsen of Emerson, Iowa; step-brothers and sisters: Dalton, Jeremy, Chris and Mallory; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Pastor Trevor Skalberg officiating. Burial will be in the Gomer Cemetery at Wales, Iowa. There will be open visitation at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Jared Jipsen Memorial Fund. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
