Jacob Brenner Helberg, age 21, of Stanton, Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Red Oak, Iowa from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jacob was born October 26, 2001, in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Gary and Michele Helberg. He was raised in Stanton, Iowa, graduating with Stanton High School class of 2020. He started working for FRESCO in Red Oak and was an Ink Tech. Jacob had many hobbies including gaming, hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing, tubing, and cars. He could fix anything and loved restoring cars and even built his own gaming computer. Jacob had a great sense of humor and was a very easy-going person.

Survivors include his parents: Gary and Michele Helberg; sisters: Brittanie Helberg and Matt of Des Moines, IA; Cortney Helberg of Des Moines, IA; Samantha Jo Helberg of Stanton, IA; and David Helberg of Stanton, IA; grandparents: John and Mary Lesher of Maryville, MO; Diana Comerford of Beford, IA; and Grace and Jim Thies of Lewiston, NE; nephew: Jack Carfrae of Des Moines, IA; aunts: Glenda Hurt and husband Dwaine of Red Oak, IA and Racheal Hamilton of Des Moines, IA; uncles: William Lesher of West Virginia and Mike Lesher and wife Deb of Tabor, IA; many other relatives and friends including his pets: Rocky the dog and Sandy the cat.

A celebration of life visitation will be held from 2-6 PM Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at a later date at the Washington Cemetery in Gravity, Iowa. Memorials are suggested to the family.
