Birthplace: Waukegan, Illinois Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Jackie D. "Jack" Anderson, age 74, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Jackie Dean "Jack" Anderson was born February 24, 1934 in Waukegan, Illinois. At a young age the family moved to the New Market area where Jack was raised and attended school. He served in the Army during the Korean War. On October 10, 1959 he was united in marriage to Patricia Hale. He worked for the Lisle Corporation and painted with his father-in-law, Ted Hale in his younger years. Jack was a painter with David Barnes Painting for 30 years retiring in 2004. He loved to fish and camp always enjoying the outdoors. He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and loved spending time with his friends. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Patricia. Survivors include his children: Rodney Anderson and wife Tracey of Emerson, Iowa and Leanna Ballinger of Shenandoah, Iowa; grandchildren: Thomas and Tylere Anderson of Emerson, Iowa; special friend: Wynonia Miller of Red Oak, Iowa; brothers: Wayne Anderson and wife Loretta of Shenandoah, Iowa and David Anderson and wife Vera of Clarinda, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
