Red Oak, Iowa Helen Elizabeth Baker Shaw, age 89, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away, Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center. Helen Elizabeth Baker Shaw was born September 16, 1920 on a farm near Villisca, Iowa the daughter of Archie and Ruth (Jenkins) Baker. She grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Red Oak High School. Helen was united in marriage to George Ted Shaw on April 12, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived many years in California while George worked for Lockheed-Martin. They moved to Red Oak, Iowa in 1999.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents; step-mother: Neola Hall Baker; husband: George Ted Shaw; brothers: Fred, Robert, and George Baker; and sister: Mary Ann Baker. Survivors include her sisters: Laura Jean Adams of Onalaska, Wisconsin and Judy Rebitzke of Red Oak, Iowa; brothers: Richard Baker of Red Oak, Iowa; Jack Baker of Davenport, Iowa; and Rodney Baker of Kelso, Washington; many in-laws; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Shaw was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
