Birthplace: Oak Hill, Missouri Resided In: Hawthorne, Iowa Harvey W. Bullington, age 100, of Hawthorne, Iowa passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at his home. Harvey William Bullington was born May 26, 1906 in Oak Hill, Missouri the son of Henry and Emma (Rutz) Bullington. The family moved to the Fort Scott, Kansas area when he was in his teens. He was united in marriage to Rosa May Harrold on May 5, 1926 in Adrian, Missouri. They moved to Iowa in the early 1930's and worked for farmers in Mills county and Montgomery county. They moved to Shenandoah, Iowa during the depression, then to Kansas and Colorado before moving back to Iowa in 1943. Harvey began to farm in Montgomery County in 1944 and kept cattle until he was 90 years old. Harvey had a true love of supporting missionaries overseas. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Rosa May Bullington on September 22, 1979; his second wife: Neola Larson Bullington on May 16, 1995 (they were married in 1991); five brothers: Louis, Bransford, Elvin, Irvin, and Edward; and three sisters: Essey Henderliter; Estella Webb; and Bernice Rodebush. Survivors include his sons: Cecil Bullington and wife Betty of Hawthorne, Iowa; and Dean Bullington and wife Roberta of Hawthorne, Iowa; 10 grandchildren: Chris Bullington and wife Carol of Stanton, IA; Barbara Alexander and husband Tim of Elkhorn, NE; Regina Warkinton and husband John of Bellevue, NE; Kent Bullington and wife Jaylene of Elliott, Iowa; Wade Bullington and wife Nancy of Red Oak, IA; Kirk Bullington and friend Sally of Red Oak, Iowa; Joe Bullington of Bellevue, NE; Becky Kim and husband Charles of Damascus, MD; Annette Johnson of Red Oak, IA; and Daniel Bullington and wife Jo Ann of Red Oak, IA; 24 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; sisters: Gladine Phillips of Red Bluff, CA; and Corrine Hermone of Placerville, CA; sister-in-law: Vera Bullington of Red Oak, IA; many nieces and nephews; several step-children and step-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Pastor Craig Larsen officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery in Montgomery County, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
