Birthplace: Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Harry St John, age 73, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away December 4, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society under the loving care of St. Croix Hospice after an extended illness. Charles "Harry" St. John was born on August 13, 1943 the son of Robert and Edith (Southard) St John. He was raised in San Antonio, Texas and Raymondville, Texas where he graduated high school. He attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated from Sam Houston State College in Houston, Texas with a degree in education. Harry was drafted into the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era where he served as a photographer. This started a long career as a photographer. He came to Red Oak where he owned Studio One Creative Photography for over thirty years. He held the distinction of "Master Photographer", was an avid Texas Longhorns fan, loved his family and friends, baseball and horse racing. Harry was united in marriage to Lynnette Anderson on November 20, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Harry was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife: Lynnette of Red Oak, IA; step-children: Shannon Moss and husband Kirby of N. Liberty, IA; Benton Jones and wife Mindy of Iowa City, IA; and Stephanie Price of Iowa Falls, IA; grandchildren: Taylor Moss, Emma Moss, Blaine Heick, Benton Jones, Jordan Gerlach, and Layla Price; and many other relatives and friends. Harry's special message to family and friends upon his death: "Face the south, cover your heart, and Hook'em Horns for Harry. I'll be waiting for you in heaven at the ball park catching the second game of a double header." "Smoke'em if you got'em" Love Harry Per Harry's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
