Obituary

Harold Wesley Hall, age 83, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Harold was born January 14, 1940, in Villisca, Iowa, the son of Herman and Helen (Northrup) Hall. He was raised near Villisca and Nodaway graduating from the Nodaway High School in 1957. He later attended Commercial Extension in Omaha for a short time. He was united in marriage to Sharon Larson and three children were born to this union: David, Roxanne, and Daniel. Harold and Sharon lived in Omaha and later Denver, Colorado. Over the years, Harold worked for Western Electric, was a horse rancher, and worked for Bell Telephone before starting a career with IBM. Harold retired from IBM in 1994 and worked for William Tell Communications which became World Com in Tulsa, Oklahoma before retiring to Branson West, Missouri. Sharon passed away in 2003 and Harold was reacquainted with his high school sweetheart, Kathryn Devine Herman. They were united in marriage on September 29, 2006, and made their home in both Villisca, Iowa, and Branson West, Missouri. Most recently they were living in Red Oak, Iowa. Harold was a fun-loving guy who did not know a stranger. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, and watching football, especially the Broncos. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers: Robert and William Hall. Survivors include his wife: Kathryn Hall of Red Oak, IA; children: David Hall of Branson West, MO; Roxanne Hall of Houston, TX; and Daniel Hall and wife Jenny Fair of Branson West, MO; step-children: Lori Siefering and husband Ron of Malvern, IA and Jeff Herman and wife Kimberly of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Brandon Gonzales and wife Adriana; Conner Gonzales; Patrick Hall; Michael Hall; Heather Barrett and husband Adam; Sydnee Herman; and Cyle Carter and wife Tonya; great grandchildren: Lacee and Keith Carter; brother: Duane Hall of Rogers, AR; sister-in-law: Marilyn Nelson of Elkhorn, NE; brother-in-law: Jim Devine and wife Shari of Papillion, NE; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including a niece whom they cared for in their home: Kim Hall Kelly and husband Mike and their children Cayden and Isabella.

A celebration of life service will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel.  Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
