Birthplace: Clarinda, Iowa Resided In: Villisca, Iowa Glen Harold Templeton, age 70, of Villisca, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Glen was born May 21, 1944 in Clarinda, Iowa the son of Elden and Leona (Murren) Templeton. He was raised in Essex, Iowa and Villisca, Iowa graduating from Villisca High School in 1962. He moved to Colorado for three years before entering the United States Air Force. Upon his return from service, Glen was united in marriage to Kathy Moorhead on November 5, 1966 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Three children were born to this union: Lori, Bill, and Brian. Glen worked many years in nuclear plants throughout the eastern part of the country. He moved back to southwest Iowa in 1986 and was united in marriage to Carolyn Smith Dolph on August 18, 1995 in Red Oak, Iowa. They made their home in Villisca. Glen enjoyed motorcycles, dancing, golf, beer, Lincoln Continentals, Ford cars; and working on cars. Preceding him in death were his father; step-daughter: Becky Hardy; granddaughter: Amanda Rose; and grandson: Zayne Dolph. Survivors include his mother: Leona Templeton of Red Oak, IA; wife: Carolyn Templeton of Villisca, IA; children: Lori Templeton of Clearwater, FL; Bill Templeton and wife Laura of Mansfield, TX; and Brian Templeton of Ocala, FL; step-children: Tammy Luna and husband Kurly of Clarinda, IA; Jenny Dolph of Griswold, IA; and CJ Dolph of Griswold, IA; 20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters: Juanita Marshall and husband Floyd of Muscatine, IA; Joyce Shoemaker of Red Oak, IA; Betty Wells of Topeka, KS; and Dorothy Dille and husband Glen of Stover, MO; sister-in-law: Marie Stupp of Stanhope, IA; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak, Iowa. Burial will be in the Villisca, Iowa Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
