Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Geraldine Foreman, age 91, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society. Geraldine was born November 7, 1926 the daughter of Alfred Wesley and Josephine (Anderson) Elliott. She attended school in Shenandoah, Iowa along with the Everly brothers. She met Harley Foreman in the 1940's and they were united in marriage on January 4, 1946. Geraldine worked part time for the Thos. D. Murphy Co. and in 1955 moved to Carroll, Iowa where she worked for the Carroll Daily Times Herald Newspaper. In 2010, Geraldine moved back to Red Oak and later made her home at the Good Samaritan Society in 2012. She loved watching wrestling on TV, Dirt Track Racing, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved cats. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband: Harley Foreman on February 7, 2001; son: Richard Foreman; sisters: Betty Allshouse, Ruth Cox, Martha Josephson, and Eldora Elliott; and brothers: Floyd, Frank, Earl, Lawrence; and Alfred "Tom" Elliott. Survivors include her son: Larry Foreman and fiancé Tammi King; grandchildren: Stacy Foreman, Jennifer Light, and Janell Milner; great grandchildren: Maggie Light, Brandon Light, Priscilla Milner Cline, and Chloe Milner; great great grandson: Alec Cline; nieces: Colleen Dennis and Sherry Clark; nephews: Bill Elliott and Dennis Elliott; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to the funeral. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
