Birthplace: Council Bluffs, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Gail A. Mirts, age 47, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Gail Ann Mirts was born July 19, 1964 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the daughter of Donald and Phyllis (Pegel) Norris. She graduated from Red Oak Community High School in the class of 1982. She had lived most of her life in the Red Oak area except for a short time in southern Missouri. She was a bartender. Gail enjoyed flowers, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and visiting with family and friends. Preceding her in death was her father: Donald Norris and brother: Christopher Norris. Survivors include her son: Kaleb Mirts and wife Heather of Red Oak, IA; grandchildren: Kyler, Blayke, and Rylan Mirts of Red Oak, IA; mother: Phyllis Norris of Red Oak, IA; step-mother: Janet Norris of Red Oak, IA; brothers: Mike Norris and wife Chris of Red Oak, IA and Sam Norris and wife Julie of Red Oak, IA; sisters: Teresa Chase of Red Oak, IA; Sara Kammerer and husband Tim of Stanton, IA; and Lisa Magneson and husband Gordon of Red Oak, IA; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held 2 PM Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Burial of the cremated remains will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
