Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Douglasville, Georgia Mrs. Frances Seabloom Harshaw, age 90, of Douglasville, Georgia formerly of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away December 22, 2007 in Georgia. She was born in Red Oak, Iowa on October 19, 1917, the daughter of Dr. John and Clara (Lindahl) Seabloom. She attended Red Oak Schools and Drake University in Des Moines. She worked for Judge Leroy Johnson and LaVon Billings as a Para Legal for many years. Frances moved to Georgia in 1998 following the death of her husband to be with her daughter and grandchildren. She was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Red Oak, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, George Harshaw, on November 21, 1997; sister, Ruth Will; and daughter-in-law, Bonita Harshaw. Survivors include her daughter: Sue Nelson and husband Wayne of Douglasville, Georgia; son: Steven Harshaw of Glenwood, Iowa; grandchildren: Kathy Kirk and husband Gary of Douglasville, Georgia; Sarah Runyon and husband Nick of Cedartown, Georgia; and Jeff Nelson and wife Leslie of Avondale Estates, Georgia; and the joy of her life, her two great grandsons: Austin and Hunter Kirk, both of Douglasville, Georgia; 3 nephews: Jon Will, Peter Will, and Jo Will; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 AM Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Memorials are suggested to the Congregational United Church of Christ or the Red Oak Rescue Unit. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
