Birthplace: Rural Villisca, Iowa Resided In: Elliott, Iowa Everett Oster, age 82, of Elliott, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the Stanton Care Center in Stanton, Iowa after an extended illness. Everett Lloyd Oster was born July 3, 1921 in rural Villisca, Iowa the son of Ernest LeRoy and Jennie Marie (Copelin) Oster. Everett grew up on several different farms in Montgomery County, Iowa. He attended country school and later graduated from Grant High School at the age of 16 years old in 1938. Everett was united in marriage to Lucile Vannordstrand on February 26, 1946 near Elliott, Iowa on the Vannordstrand family farm where Everett and Lucile have lived most of their married life. Everett was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson: Adrian Redinger. Survivors include his wife: Lucile Oster of Elliott, Iowa; 2 sons: Evan Oster and wife JoAnn of West Des Moines, Iowa; and Edward Oster and wife Donna of Stanton, Iowa; daughter: Eileen Redinger and husband Randy of Lake Mills, Iowa; 11 grandchildren: Eugenie Maybanks and husband Nick of Coralville, Iowa; Elizabeth Kinsinger and husband Tim of Rockford, Illinois; Chris Van Meeteren of Hull, Iowa; Amy Rodriguez of Des Moines, Iowa; Shaun Van Meeteren and wife Deanna of Urbandale, Iowa; Aaron Redinger and wife Shanan of Hanlantown, Iowa; Eric Redinger and wife Jennifer of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Graham Redinger of Lake Mills, Iowa; Edward Lucas Oster, Emily Oster, and Ellen Oster all of Stanton, Iowa; 7 great grandchildren: Sydney Kinsinger, Damon Rodriguez, Dante Rodriguez, Samuel Redinger, Isabel Redinger, Brennan Redinger, and Peyton Redinger; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at the Elliott Church of Christ with Rev. Michael Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in the Waveland Cemetery near Elliott, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Elliott Church of Christ. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
