Birthplace: Sioux City, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Esther M. Lindgren age 90 of Red Oak, Iowa passed away, Monday, June 04, 2007 at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center. Esther Lindgren was born April 16, 1917 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Martin O. and Sarah Ellen (Kirby) Johnson. Esther moved to the Coburg area as a child and graduated from the Coburg High School. On, December 3, 1940, she married Ray Lindgren. They lived in Council Bluffs where Ester worked for the Brandeis Credit Bureau and owned a bar. They later moved to Red Oak and Esther worked at the Murphy Calendar Company. She was a member of the Red Oak Eagles Lodge where she served as a trustee and liked to decorate the lodge for Christmas. Esther is survived by her extended family and friends. Memorial services will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the Red Oak Eagles Lodge. Burial of ashes was held at a time prior to the memorial services at the Evergreen Cemetery. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak is in charge of arrangements.
