Birthplace: Atlantic, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa E. Marie Fox, age 79, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Center in Red Oak. Ethel Marie "Tillie" Fox was born July 1, 1924 in Atlantic, Iowa the daughter of William and Ethel (Johnson) Blay. Marie was one of nine children. She was united in marriage to Charles Parmley in 1941. To this union were born two children: David and Winona. After their marriage they lived in Brayton, Iowa until Marie moved to Red Oak in 1946. Marie was united in marriage to Royal Fox on August 22, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1973. She worked for the Union Carbide and the Holiday Inn later known as Red Coach Inn. Marie was preceded in death by her sister: Esther Pangburn; her parents; and husband: Royal Fox in 1973. Survivors include her daughter: Winn Samuelson and her husband Russ of Red Oak, Iowa; son: David Parmley and his wife Margaret of Exira, Iowa; 4 grandchildren: Clark Parmley and his wife Jane of Springfield, Missouri; Renee Lehman and her husband Bill of Ankeny, Iowa; Shawn Samuelson and his wife Pam of Missouri Valley, Iowa; and Jason Samuelson and his wife Danni of Clarinda, Iowa; 7 great grandchildren; 7 brothers and sisters: Billy Blay and his wife Marie of Pocahontas, Arkansas; Ruby Houtchens and her husband Cliff of Red Oak, Iowa; Raymond Blay and his wife Carolyn of Red Oak, Iowa; Frank Blay and his wife Donna of Twin Falls, Idaho; Robert Blay and his wife Judy of Villisca, Iowa; Jane Elwood and her husband Dale of Red Oak, Iowa; and Larry Blay and his wife Delores of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Graveside Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, September 27, 2003 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Memorials are suggested to the Activities Fund at the Good Samaritan Care Center. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
