Birthplace: Missouri Valley, IA Resided In: Red Oak, IA Elsie E. Harrold, age 77, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Elsie Elaine Harrold was born December 28, 1933 in Missouri Valley, Iowa the daughter of Amzia and Matilda (Kraft) Bonham. The family moved to Red Oak, Iowa in 1948. Elsie was united in marriage to Clifford Harrold on February 16, 1956 in Red Oak, Iowa. Elsie was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed life and always had a warm smile for everyone. She loved watching the birds, reading the Bible, and flowers. Her greatest joy was her family who describe her with just one word: "Loving". Elsie was also a long time member of the Assembly of God Church. Preceding her in death were her parents and her siblings: Delores, Bertha, Rachel, Lucille, Luella, Margaret, Lawrence, Floyd, Lloyd, and Amzia Jr. Survivors include her husband: Clifford Harrold of Red Oak, IA; children: Delores Johnson and husband Tony of Red Oak, IA; Gene Harrold and wife Judy of Henderson, IA; and Cathy Banning and husband Kelly of Omaha, NE; grandchildren: Jennifer Frazee and husband Curt of Hastings, IA; Nathan Johnson and wife Jodi of Red Oak, IA; Megan Horgdal and husband Garret; Mindy Harrold and special friend Mike Smith and his daughter Julia; and Greg Harrold and fiancé: Kristin Perin all of Henderson, IA; great grandchildren: Dallas, Damian, Kailynn, Kaylor, Devin, Rhett, Cylis, Audri, and Ellie; great great grandchild: Braeden; sister: Marcella Shaw of Red Oak, Iowa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Irene Bonham of Missouri Valley, IA; Opal May of Silver Lake, KS; Della Mallonee and husband Boyd of Ava, MO; Virgil Harrold and wife Doris of Tennessee; Roscoe Harrold and wife Linda of Garden Valley, ID; Emilie Bowman and husband Lyle of Caldwell, ID; Frieda Brown and husband Vince of Boise, ID; Melvin Harrold and wife Sandy of Garden Valley, ID; and Russ Harrold and wife Bea of Kingman, AZ; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Red Oak Rescue Unit. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
