Ellen Jane “Janie” Wagaman Elwood, age 87, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her children: Teresa Hossle of Red Oak, IA; Jim Wagaman and wife Patty of Red Oak, IA; and Jerry Wagaman and wife Cindy of Emerson, IA; along with many other relatives.

Viewing and visitation with the family will be held from 5:30-7 PM Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the LeRette Funeral Chapel. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
