Birthplace: Montgomery County, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Dwayne K. Shearer, age 88, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society. Dwayne was born September 6, 1930 in Montgomery County, Iowa the son of Clarence "Harold" and Alpha M. (Pelzer) Shearer. Dwayne was united in marriage to Joy Van Buskirk on April 15, 1950 in Elliott, Iowa. They farmed for many years in Montgomery County moving into Red Oak in 1987. Preceding him in death were his parents and sister: Eldean Mings. Survivors include his wife: Joy Shearer of Red Oak, IA; sons: Rick Shearer and wife Janet of Griswold, IA and Lynn Shearer and wife Sheri of Sunrise Beach, MO; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters: Rachel Gilley of Creston, IA and Elnora Rice of Des Moines, IA; and many other relatives and friends. Private family graveside memorial services will be held at a later date. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
