Birthplace: Beatrice, Nebraska Resided In: Red Oak, IA Dorothy Peters Wolfe, age 87, of Red Oak, Iowa formerly of Omaha, Nebraska passed away Sunday, March 10, 2002 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Dorothy Mildred Wolfe was born July 7, 1914 in Beatrice, Nebraska the daughter of John and Effie (Day) Mischnick. Dorothy graduated high school in Beatrice, Nebraska and later married Raymond Peters. They lived in Omaha, Nebraska for many, many years. Dorothy was a medical secretary at Children's Hospital. Raymond preceded Dorothy in death and she later married Dr. F. Roger Wolfe and moved to Red Oak, Iowa. She was a member of the Behtlehem Lutheran Church in Red Oak. And she was a former member of the Omaha Christian Center and the Omaha Miniature Guild. Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband: Raymond; brother: John Mischnick, Jr.; sister: Ruby Kassebaum; and a grandson: Jim Roberts, Jr. Survivors include her husband: F. Roger Wolfe, DDS; 4 daughters: Rosalie Cronland and her husband Colin of Omaha, Nebraska; Anita Roberts and her husband Jim of Fresno, California; Judy Halpain of LaQuinta, California; and Rita Rocker of Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak with the Rev. Chris Burgett officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. There will be a short service at the Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home at 5701 Center Street in Omaha at approximately Noon on Tuesday, March 12, 2002 before the burial. There will be open visitation at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
