Dorothy J. Herren, age 78, of Stanton, Iowa, formerly of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Accura Healthcare of Stanton, Iowa. Dorothy was born November 15, 1944, in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of John O. and Florence (Glassinger) Herren. She was raised in Red Oak where she graduated from Red Oak Community High School. Over the years, Dorothy lived in Red Oak, Iowa, West Virginia, and Missouri. Her first job was as a seamstress and later she worked with and raised dogs and horses. She loved her special dog, "Ginger.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and brother: John E. Herren. Survivors include her brother: Ed Herren of Stanton, Iowa; sister-in-law: Coleen Herren of Red Oak, Iowa; nephew: John J. Herren of Red Oak, Iowa; niece: Cynthia Herren of Red Oak, Iowa and other relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
