Birthplace: Carbon, Iowa Resided In: Sidney, Iowa formerly of Red Oak Dorothy Arnold, age 74, of Sidney, Iowa formerly of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa after an extended illness. Dorothy Maxine Arnold was born January 22, 1931 in Adams County, Iowa the daughter of Chester and Bessie (Roberts) Haley. She was raised near Carbon, Iowa where she attended school. Dorothy was united in marriage to Frank Arnold on June 22, 1961 in Red Oak, Iowa where they made their home for many years. Frank preceded Dorothy in death on April 13, 1979. Dorothy lived in Red Oak until moving to the Country Haven in Corning, Iowa and later the Sidney Care Center in Sidney, Iowa. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Frank Arnold; brother: Steven Haley; and sister: Dolores Claussen. Survivors include her sister: Shirley Wilwerding and husband Richard of Harlan, Iowa; brother: Donald Haley of Bellville, Illinois; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, November 21, 2005 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak with Rev. Craig Larsen officiating. Burial will be in the Quincy Cemetery in Adams County, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
