Birthplace: Red Oak, Iowa Resided In: Red Oak, Iowa Dorothy D. Anderson, age 82, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Dorothy Dean Anderson was born July 22, 1925 in Red Oak, Iowa the daughter of Ernest and Lucille (Stocksleger) Wetterlind. She was raised in Montgomery County, Iowa and graduated from the Red Oak High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Elmer D. Anderson on September 1, 1942 in Rockport, Missouri. Dorothy raised her family and was a farm wife until the 1960's when she went to work for the Thomas D. Murphy Company and later the JII Company until the factory was closed. Dorothy then worked for CDS until her retirement. She was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian Church, former Church Circle member, was a volunteer for the Workforce Development Center, and a member of the 15-20 year club at Murphy's. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband: Elmer Anderson on December 31, 1979; her daughter: Janet Spracher on October 8, 2003; grandson: Joshua Eyre; and brother: Duane Wetterlind. Survivors include her daughters: Shirley Eyre of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Lesa Trost of Red Oak, Iowa; grandsons: Jason Eyre of Arvada, Colorado; Kim Trost of Red Oak, Iowa; and Jesse Trost of Arvada, Colorado; granddaughters: Kristen Gibson and husband Ray of Omaha, Nebraska; and Erin Trost of Arvada, Colorado; great granddaughter: Chloe Gibson of Omaha, Nebraska; brother: Don Wetterlind and wife Pat of Red Oak, Iowa; sister: Carolyn McKay of Red Oak, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, August 18, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Caryn Pederson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 7-8 PM Friday, August 17, 2007 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Association. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
